Laboratory Testing
Services
We offer a full range of geotechnical laboratory tests, both in-house and through our trusted partners. We are able to collect samples ourselves as part of our site investigation services, and provide the results in our report.
Alternatively, we can carry out tests on any soil samples you send to us, and provide just the results. We cannot provide any interpretation unless we collect the samples ourselves.
There is a very wide scope of different tests that can be carried-out in a laboratory, but some of the more common classification tests are required, for instance, to determine;
- The strength of soils and potential for settlement
- If the soils are desiccated by tree roots
- The cement specification for new concrete
- The need for protection against clay shrinkage and heave in the vicinity of trees
- Thickness of a pavement required for roads and driveways, etc
